Malmö Garden Show

Yesterday I picked up Malaika early nfrom day care, around 3pm and we went to Malmö Garden Show in a nearby park. I'm not particularly interested in gardening but it said in the information that they would have children's stuff and ice cream:)

We managed to see some strange children's opera, get some coffee and cake and go up in the old wind mill before it started to rain. So then we went to buy candy and crisps and went home for some Friday night "mys" (cosiness:)).

We fell asleep in my bed around 10pm both of us!

A very nice evening!:)

Today it's Zumba in Folkets Park and then off to Karlshamn and a party!

Party for diversity!

Today the Student Union Malmoe, where I work, organised a festval called Party for Diversity, due to the recent racist events taking place in Lund where some student thought it fun to dress up as slaves and slave-owners at a dress-up party with "jungle theme" and later during the evening held an auction. When my former collegue Jallow decided to press charges against this a poster was posted on the walls of Malmo University, where he works, with a picture of him and the text reading "Our negro-slave has run away"... He reported this too...
You can read more about it here: http://www.thelocal.se/33580/20110504/#

Anyway since day care was closed today I of course went there with Malaika. It was real fun and they had a bouncy castle and face-painting for children. All for free! I think Malaika jumped for three hours straight!!!!!

We had a long and intense day. Like I said day care was closed today due to planning so I decided to use the time to take Malika to cut her hair for the first time in her life. I had spent weeks preparing here that we would go to this place and then a girl would cut her hair. (we get our haicuts at a local hairdresser's school, very cheap and they're very nice and careful:))
Of course we got the only male in the school! VERY strange thought Malaika at first but then she got bribed with some candy and then it was ok.
Then we went to my work for a while pestering my work-mates. Then we made our way through town up to the park where the festival was held stopping in four different shops on the way looking for a dress for me. I'm going to a party this weekend!
Malaika thought it fun and exciting to come with me in to try on the clothes and I found this beautiful dress at indiska. I actually look thin in it! yey!

Then it was off to the festival and bouncy castles and face paint for the rest of the day! Three hours in the bouncy castle! Need i say thet she fell aslwwp in her buggy after five minutes on the way home?
Here's pictures!
