Rain, rain, rain!

One more day and then I'll be going back to work after four weeks of summer vacation. It's been good, but rainy. But we had som good days too!

3 years old!!!!!!!

Malaika is 3 years old today! The 14th of July 2008 at 08.42 am she was born at Malmö Hospital. Happy birthday sweetheart!

I woke her up with happy birthday singing and lots of presents this morning! She was SO happy, you should have seen her smile when I started singing Happy Birthday!:

Unfortunately it's been raining all day so she's been having a quite boring birthday. But we've made cinnamon buns and chocolate buns too and the big party is on Saturday and they say it won't rain then so... No hard feelings!:)

First week of our summer vacation

The first week of our summer vacationis over. It's been a great week. We started of at Ölands djurpark (zoo) together with Malaika's grandmother. We had a great time! The zoo was much nicer than I expected! Well kept animals, lots of attractions suitable for Malaika, a great water-land (called Pirate Bay) and even bouncing castles! And lots of cool animals like zebras, lions (with five little cubs born two months ago SO cute!) tigers, lamas, camels etc.
Malaika loved it and quite truthfully so did I! It's good to have Malaika as an excuse to go on the horse-carousel 10 times in a row!:)

We spent two days there and then we went back to Karlshamn were we spent Thrusday-Friday with Malaika's grandfather and his fiancé and also my step-brother and his son. We went sailing in my dad's boat and celebrated malaika's birthday in advance. She got a life-vest and picnic baskets:)

Yesterday we went to the beach and probably will today as well. It's gourgeous weather!

En ganska misslyckad utflykt med lyckligt slut

(sorry about the Swedish, I'm on summer holiday :))

Skulle göra mig till och försökte ta mig till Falsterbo med Malaika idag. Efter en halvtimme i bilkö gav jag upp i Höllviken och svängde vänster i rondellen och körde till en annan strand på andra sidan Höllviken där vi fick parkeringsplats lång från stranden men vi tog oss fram över stock och sten till stranden bara för att upptäcka att vinden låg på rätt in och vågorna var för höga för Malaika att bada i.
Då gav vi upp och körde tillbaka till Malmö och Ribban.
Dock kom vi bara till andra trafikljuset vid Mobilia sen försvann kopplingspedalen under foten på mig. 30 min i bilkö var troligen för mycket för den...
Efter lite trixande tycktes den dock funka igen och jag fick i tvåan och fick sen köra på den hela vägen hem utan att växla eller stanna för det vågade jag ju inte...
När jag väl hade parkerat så testade jag igen och då tycktes maskineriet funka igen...

Nåja vi gick hem och hämtade vagnen och promenerade ner till Ribban där vi spenderade en härlig eftermiddag. Mestadels i vattnet tillsammans med en uppblåsbar giraff:)

Under kvällen har vi dessutom hunnit med att äta kycklingsallad, titta på delar av Mulan, gå till lekplatsen samt ta en promenad. Nu sover Malaika som en stock och snart jag också.

Imorgon ska jag läsa Hyndai accent användarmanual:D

Summer holiday!

Today is the first day pf our summer holiday! No more work until 1st of August!
We woke up to a rainy Malmö but that's OK because we didn't wake up until 10.30am! Which I think is a great start to our summer holiday despite the rain!

Now we've had brunch and wathced Nickolodeon Junior the whole day so far!

Very relaxing!

Tonight we're going to a party! My friend Ida is celebrating the summer and her graduation:)
